Why have a valuation?

Valuations are mostly carried out for insurance purposes, but there are also many other reasons to get your items professionally valued including probate or validating a private sale.

Items over a certain value may require a written valuation document to hand to your insurance company. Should you make a purchase from Johnsons Jewellers, we will provide that documentation to you free of charge upon request.

How It Works

Once we receive your item(s) we will start the detailed valuation process, where our experts will carefully examine each piece to ensure an accurate valuation is given. Each item will receive its own digital photograph and a detailed description, including a new replacement value at the prevailing rate.
