The terms and conditions for the use of the Harold Johnson and Son (Nuneaton) Limited website are detailed below. We may vary these terms from time to time and therefore you should check them before making a purchase.
The following terms and conditions will apply to all purchases made via the website or telephone. All contracts shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and any disputes or proceedings shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
We have taken every step to ensure that the information displayed on the website is correct. The images displayed on the website are not necessarily a representation of the actual size. If you wish to know the exact dimensions of a particular item, then please feel free to email or telephone us.
We are unable to guarantee that the colour of an image of a product is an accurate representation as different computers and monitors may alter the colour of a particular image.
All prices shown are in pound sterling (£) and include the VAT rate of 20%, unless clearly stated.
We reserve the right to alter our prices and specifications without notice. We will confirm any details when replying to your emails.
Terms of Purchase
When you place an order on the H Johnson and Son (Nuneaton) Limited website we will email you an acknowledgement. Our acceptance of an order does not take place until the order is dispatched, at which point the purchase contract will be made and you will be charged.
Any discounts from the entry of a promotional code will not be applied until the order is accepted but will be detailed on the invoice. We reserve the right to refuse an order.
Non-acceptance of an order may, for example, result from one of the following:
- The product ordered being unavailable from stock
- Our inability to obtain authorisation of payment
- The identification of an error within the product information, including price or promotion
If there are any problems with your order we will contact you. H Johnson and Son (Nuneaton) Limited reserve the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time.
We are pleased to receive orders online through our secure server.
All credit / debit card transactions are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Delta, Switch, Maestro and Solo. If the issuer of the card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of your order.
All orders will need to be processed with a valid card payment in the name of the registered cardholder. Please Note: The address for delivery will be the same as the billing address. Please ensure the address given for delivery is secure as responsibility for loss or damage of the items passes to the customer at the point of receipt of goods. If someone without authority signs for the delivery/ purchase at the address given by you, it will not be the responsibility of HaroldJohnson and Son.(Nuneaton) Limited
Order and Delivery Information/Process
Once your order has been received you will be sent an automatic email to confirm the order has been placed.
We will then contact you the day before your item is due to be dispatched and will let you know how we will be sending it. Any order placed after 3pm will not be processed until the next working day.
Our delivery service is free and we aim to process and dispatch items within 5 working days of receiving your order, unless the item is special order in which case it could take up to 15 working days. If for some reason your item will take longer than this, we will notify you by email. We send all parcels using either Royal Mail Signed For service or Royal Mail Special Delivery.
We will not be held liable for late delivery of goods caused by circumstances beyond our control. It is your responsibility to ensure there is a person to accept the delivery on the day specified. We will not be held responsible if the delivery was attempted and there was no one to receive the order.
All sale items have been on sale at a higher price for at least 28 consecutive days
Any item over £250 will be sent by Special Delivery free of charge. Any item under £250 will be sent by Free Recorded Delivery- the approximate delivery time will be 3-5 working days. Johnsons Jewellers will not be liable for any late deliveries due to adverse conditions, such as a strike by Royal Mail or because of weather related incidents.
Any item under £250 can be upgraded to next day Special delivery for a fee of £5.95. This can be done at the checkout
Click and collect is offered on any item except Rolex, Tudor and Mont Blanc. Rolex, Tudor and Mont Blanc can only be purchased in store. All goods must be paid for in full prior to collecting. To collect your item in store please bring one form of Identification such as drivers licence or utility bill which confirms the name and address. Orders can be collected by the person placing and paying for the order. We are not authorised to pass the order to any person other than the purchaser
V12 finance orders must have identification to collect their order through click and collect. As a security precaution we will photocopy your identification and keep a copy of this for our records as requested to do so by V12 finance. Any item in the sale cannot be purchased on V12. Any items purchased through the internet must be delivered to the address in which the goods have been purchased. V12 terms and conditions state that we are unable to deliver V12 items to an alternative delivery address
Whilst we endeavour to ensure all prices are correct at time of publication, we reserve the right to reject an order should there have been an error in the price advertised at time of order
Once you have completed your online purchase, we will send an email confirmation containing details of your order. This confirmation does not act as acceptance of your order as this is subject to the following:
- The product being in-stock and available for delivery
- The information and pricing being accurate
- Fraud and identity checks being passed (for which we use 3rd party services)
- Payment being authorised
Subject to the above, we will despatch your order and send an email confirmation to let you know it’s on its way. It is at this point that a contract will exist under these terms and conditions.
Interest Free Credit is offered exclusively by V12 finance
At time of ordering, we will contact your card issuer to authorise payment and validate that you have the relevant funds available. Should the card issuer authorise the payment we will place a hold on those funds to ensure they can be debited at time of despatch. This means you will be unable to access those funds within your account.
No charge will be made until your order is despatched.
Should we need to cancel your order, we will release the ‘hold’ that we have over any funds. Please be aware that dependant on your bank it may take up to five working days before those funds become cleared again in your account
If looking to ship internationally, please email [email protected] in order to discuss shipping costs as costs will be calculated on a case-to-case basis.
Harold Johnson and Son (Nuneaton) Limited make no warranties as to the accuracy and completeness of any content included on the website. We also do not take responsibility for any contact of third party websites we may link to.
We carry out identification checks on all orders to validate the details supplied within your order. This is to prevent against fraudulent card activity and to promote a secure shopping experience. When carrying out checks, we use publically available records such as the Electoral Roll and may elect third party services such as Experian to perform checks on our behalf. Should we suspect fraudulent activity we may need to contact you to verify your information. If your order fail identification checks we reserve the right to refuse your order and cancel any pending payments
The customer has 7 days after receipt of goods to cancel their order. The customer will then be required to inform Harold Johnson and Son(Nuneaton) Limited of cancellation by email, fax or letter before returning the goods using the same standard of postage as used for delivery. The goods must be in their original unworn condition with all packaging and documentation included at time of posting.
It is the customers’ responsibility to ensure safe delivery of cancelled orders back to Harold Johnson and Son(Nuneaton) Limited This will be done at the customers own expense. A full refund including original postage costs will be given.
Please Note: We are unable to receive any returned earrings due to health and safety reasons. In this case, the order must be cancelled before goods have been shipped.

Occasionally we understand that you may wish to return an item for an exchange or refund. Any item for exchange or refund must be unworn and returned at the customers own expense within 30 days from the date on the receipt.
Before posting, you must first make Harold Johnson and Son(Nuneaton) Limited aware either by phone or email. Any item returned to us without prior warning will not be accepted and will be returned to the customer.
The item must be in its original condition and packaging, accompanied by the original receipt and all packaging, labelling, accessories, manuals and any other documentation included at the time of posting. Without all documentation, we will not accept the item for refund or exchange.
We will not accept goods for return if they were special orders unless the goods are deemed to be faulty.
We will not accept goods for return if they have been engraved unless the goods are deemed to be faulty.
We can not accept earrings for return unless they are deemed to be faulty. This is due to health and safety reasons.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the items are packed securely and are covered by the Royal Mail Special Delivery or Signed For system where appropriate.
Postage and packaging charges are non-refundable unless goods are faulty.
Goods will not be accepted for credit after 30 days of receipt under any circumstances, unless the goods are deemed to be faulty.
Please Note: We are only able to credit the account from which the original purchase was made.
The diamond classifications expressed on products are estimated to the best of our ability and therefore not certificated unless otherwise stated.
The diamonds used to create our jewellery are ethically sourced within the Kimberley process: they originate from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in strict compliance with United Nations resolutions.
Our diamonds are hereby guaranteed conflict free, based on personal knowledge and/ or written guarantees provided by our suppliers.
